Dancing With The Stars betting On ABC Heads Into Final Night

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

Dancing with the Stars on ABC has provided yet another entertainment filled season and on Monday the finalists competed one more time for America’s votes. With the voting lines now closed, all that is left is to reveal the winner later tonight.

Jennifer Grey has been the betting favorite for the entire competition and on Monday Grey and her partner Derek Hough performed brilliantly, according to the judges. The pair received perfect scores, and seem to be the couple to beat heading into the results show.

Bristol Palin always could make a run at winning because of the popularity of her mother, Sarah. Last week, Palin was saved by voters while Brandy, a favorite for most of the competition, was eliminated. Many believe that a strong Tea-Party support group helped Palin survive.

Again on Monday, Palin and her partner Mark Ballas, were last on the judge’s scorecards. The actual score, however, may have little to do with the outcome at this point with each celebrity having their own fan base. Whether Palin wins will be based more on popularity than her actual dance moves.

Kyle Massey has been somewhat of the forgotten man in this competition. Massey finished in second place, along with partner Lacey Schwimmer. Massey is unlikely to win, with the two mom’s garnering most of the attention. Massey has survived this long, so and upset is not completely out of the question.

The final is set for tonight at 8PM on ABC. Christina Aguilera will perform her song “Beautiful” along with a song from her new movie “Burlesque.” The three couples remaining will also perform two more dances, a Cha Cha Cha, and a ballroom dance, before the winner is crowned.

The new season of Dancing with the Stars has arrived, and that means a new wave of contestants for America to fall in love with. In season 12, there are the usual mix of reality stars, athletes, entertainers, and musicians.

Kendra Wilkinson made her fame in the Playboy Mansion as one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends. Wilkinson has been on the scene for several years, and her bubbly personality has odds makers believing she is the one to beat in this year’s DTWS competition.

Wilkinson has been installed as a 7/2 favorite. Unlike in many competitions, DWTS is usually wide open at the beginning, with no clear-cut favorite. That is the case again this season with several contestants holding low odds, slightly behind Wilkinson. Chelsea Kane, Hines Ward, and Ralph Macchio all have 11/2 odds.

Sugar Ray Leonard had one of the most lovable personalities that has ever been seen in the boxing ring, with fans from all across the world rooting for the ex-champ. Footwork is a key part of having success in the ring, and Leonard could use his footwork to wow the audience over the next couple of months.

Lil’ Romeo is the next choice at 8/1. The rapper has shown off his dance moves on stage and on the big screen, but he is facing some stiff competition this year. Mike Catherwood comes in right behind Romeo with 9/1 odds.

The odds will constantly change as the season moves along, with voting patterns determining the chances of each contestant. To start, however, these is a list of four contestants that are considered early long shots to win with odds of at least 10/1.

Professional wrestler Chris Jericho and celebrity Kirstie Alley hold the 10/1 odds. Wendy Williams is next with 12/1 odds, and Petra Nemcova is the longest of shots at 18/1. Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars begins on Monday with a two-hour premiere on ABC.

Dancing With The Stars Gambling Closing With Alley As Long Shot

Dancing with the Stars and American Idol have become equally as popular for gamblers who have taken a liking to betting on reality television contestants. The two most popular shows in the US have their seasons winding up this week, and the betting odds show that two males are the favorites to win the competitions.

Unlike Idol, DWTS has three participants, not two, left. Hines Ward has been the favorite for several weeks in a row, and the Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver is a 1/2 favorite heading into the finale.

Ward has spent his summer not at the collective bargaining table like many of his peers that are in a bitter legal dispute with the league, but instead, on the dance floor. After being an early underdog, Ward quickly became the favorite and has not looked back, giving several thrilling performances over the past month.

Chelsea Kane came out of nowhere to wow fans on DWTS around mid-season. Kane is a 3/1 choice, meaning that gamblers would win $300 for every $100 bet at a Las Vegas sports books should Kane win. The sports books have been taking bets on Idol and DWTS at a time when only the NBA is capturing gamblers’ attention in the sports world.

The long shot of the three remaining finalists is Kirsti Alley. The former Cheers star was expected to be knocked out of the competition early on, but she has dazzled fans and judges, and somehow has danced her way into the top three this season. Alley has only slightly longer odds than Kane at 4/1.

Idol will also close the book on another season this year. As has been the case for several years in a row, a male singer is the betting favorite heading to the finale. Scotty McCreery, a favorite of the judges all season long, has used his deep country voice to gain 1/5 odds this week. Gamblers would have to be $500 for every $100 they wanted to win, and that may be too much for bettors to place in the hands of voters.

Lauren Alaina, another teen sensation like McCreery, is a 3/1 choice. Alaina was the third betting choice last week, but survived elimination. Haley Reinhart was sent home by fans, leaving McCreery and Alaina to battle it out this week for the title of American Idol for season ten.

Charity Claims Internet The Cause Of Increased Gambling Addiction

The debate has been ongoing for several years, but only recently has the battle reached the mainstream media. Online gambling is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, and many believe the Internet has been a cause of increased gambling addiction.

The latest evidence that the Internet is increasing the odds of problem gambling comes from RCA Trust. The charity has documented that over 200 women have called and complained that they are in debt due to gambling. The women have claimed losses from the hundreds to the thousands.

“This is becoming a major issue,” said Andy Todd, counselling manager for the RCA Trust, as reported by Scotland on Sunday. “It is the tip of the iceberg, there will be a lot more women out there who are in the same situation and do not come to us, or any other organizations, for help.”

The RCA Trust is one of many organizations in Europe that is attempting to help combat gambling addiction. In most countries, the laws have been changed in an effort to ensure the proper safeguards are taken to avoid increased problem gambling.

The Internet has become a tool for bettors that have saved millions of dollars from what they were saving on trips to their local casino. One gambler in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker summed up the feelings of many.

“When I used to go out to the casinos, I would have to spend money on gas, and then most of the time dinner, for me and my wife. All the while, we would have some drinks while we were gambling, and I found I spent over $100 a night not even counting my gambling,” said Ramsey Burns. “It just made so much more sense for my wife and I to order a pizza, grab a six-pack, and play some poker online.”

Burns and millions of other US poker players lost the ability to save money at home when the US Department of Justice issued indictments against Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, and PokerStars. Full Tilt Poker has since lost its operating license, and is being sold to a group of European investors.

The RCA Trust, meanwhile, blames not only online gambling, but the scope of the services that are offered. With the industry bringing in billions of dollars annually, it was only a matter of time before investors started opening up their own Internet casinos.

“The Key is the accessibility,” said Todd. “That people can log in 24-7 from their smart phone as well as from their computer.”

Mobile devices are becoming an increasingly popular way to gamble online. Applications have been authorized by several mobile companies, while gamblers can access their favorite online sites by using their smart phone Internet browsers.

Changing Your Luck

What is luck? Some people seem to be lucky by nature, while others never seem to have any luck go their way. Luck is an immeasurable quality that ebbs and flows, and in the gambling world it is the remarkable fluctuations of good luck which bring us back to the casinos.

Many gamblers base their decisions on pure mathematics while others like to bet on a hunch. No matter what your reasons for making a bet, in the short term it is luck that will be a big factor in determining the outcome of your bet. Over the long term, other elements such as skill and game odds play more of a factor. Online casinos make money because they are able to stay open 24/7. They know that the luck will even out over

the long term and the odds of the game will eventually hold true. However in the short term, anyone can “get lucky” and pull off a remarkable win. The attraction of a big jackpot win on the Online Slot machines is a big lure to casual casino punters.

So is there anything that you can do to change your luck? It all comes down to your own attitude. Some people believe that you can “make your own luck”. These people tend to have positive attitudes and are prepared take a chance and gamble when the odds are favorable. Their optimistic confidence is refreshing as they always seem happy and enjoy themselves while they play. The opposite is the pessimistic player who always complains about his bad luck as he drowns in his own misery and misfortune.

Serious casino players will tell you that luck doesn’t matter in games of skill such as Blackjack or Video Poker. Over the long term they are correct, but realistically many players won’t play enough hands over their lifetime to achieve long term results. Therefore short term luck is very important to the results of most players. However luck will often only determine the cards you are dealt, you’ll need to apply correct game strategy to give yourself the best chance of success. The player that turns a difficult situation into an advantageous one is sometimes looked upon as being lucky, however often it is their positive attitude and superior knowledge that brought about the good fortune. For example, a “lucky” yet highly skilled Blackjack player has drawn a 16 against the dealer’s 10. Many “unlucky” players are too scared to hit their 16 for fear of going bust, but a skilled player knows that correct strategy dictates that he should indeed take another card. On this occasion he draws a 5 to make a 21, as the dealer turns over another 10 for a total of 20. The player appears to have gotten lucky, but the reality is that this player made his own luck by using his superior game knowledge to apply the correct strategy for the situation.

The good news is that anyone can get lucky. You could be next to login to your favorite online casino, get lucky and strike it rich. Recently a lady won a 2 million pound Progressive Slots jackpot from just a 20 pound deposit! It could be you! Just try to keep a positive attitude.

A great little exercise to get you in the right mood, is before you sit down to play take a moment to stop and think about something really great in your life. Think about someone or something special to you that inspires you every day and you will appreciate how wonderful life can be! You’ll hit the tables with a smile on your face and a positive attitude that will only encourage some good luck!
